The Chinese Embassy in the Maldives Holds the Opening Ceremony for the "Mechanism of Consular Protection Liaisons"

On 30th November, the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives held the Opening Ceremony for the "Mechanism of Consular Protection Liaisons". H.E. Ambassador Wang Fukang, Counselor Liu Qiang, Head of the Consular Section Liu Jianxin, together with 21 consular protection liaisons attended the ceremony.

 

                                                        

 

In his address, Counselor Liu Qiang noted that as a "Trustwinning Project for the People", consular protection and service plays an important part in the daily routine of the Embassy. In recent years, the number of consular protection cases has increased with more mutual exchanges between China and the Maldives in various aspects. In order to provide the quality consular protection and service for Chinese citizens in the Maldives, the Embassy strives to build up a consular assistance network with the joint efforts from the Embassy, overseas Chinese and Chinese institutions in the Maldives. Counselor Liu hoped the consular liaisons would give full play to their advantages to assist the Embassy in better serving the Chinese citizens in the Maldives with initiative, dedication and responsibility.

                                                       

 

H.E. Ambassador Wang Fukang hands over the certificates to the consular liaisons. In his speech, Ambassador Wang extends congratulations and gratitude to the consular liaisons for their voluntary assistance to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and companies in the Maldives while doing their own jobs well.
                                                      
 


At the closing of the ceremony, the Embassy formally launches the consular WECHAT public account "Happy and Safe Journey to the Maldives" .
