Devoted to the promotion of Chinese language and Chinese culture in Maldives, Ms. Chen Yumin has promoted exchanges and understanding between the people of China & Maldives for nearly a decade.

Chen has been teaching Chinese at the Language Learning Center since April 2014. Chen has taught over 400 Maldivians to learn Chinese, who can communicate smoothly in receiving Chinese tourists and get better job opportunities.

In 2020, Chen successfully applied for the establishment of the first official Chinese Test Center in Maldives certified by Chinese Testing International, which solved the difficulty of Chinese Test for Maldivians.

At the same time, Chen introduced Chinese culture to more Maldivians by various activities. She promotes Chinese language training to tourism-related institutions to enhance local services for Chinese tourists. 

Chen is keen on cultural exchange activities between China and Maldives: encouraged girls of two countries to join the "Women’s Dive Day" event, joined in NEYVAA Freediving, co-showed with Maldivian singers and performers and etc.

Chen is also a translator for China-Maldives business & cultural cooperation. Now she is still on the pursuit of bridging people of the two countries. Thank you, Ms. Chen Yumin, for your great contribution to China-Maldives friendship!
